Private Jets on screen: Must W...by JetOnset Team | Aug 01 , 2022Some people have found themselves at home more often than they wished in the past few years. A nice time to catch up on those all-time favorite aviation classics, right? Whether you're a flight captain, stewardess, or aviation enthusiast, there are some great movies with jet planes. The movies in the list below will appeal to aviation enthusiasts who love watching films and documentaries about airplanes and viewers who enjoy action sequences in any setting. The great thing about these aviation movies is that there's something for everyone! Check out these amazing blockbuster films that happened on jets. Air Force One - Boeing 747-146 Air Force One is an American political action thriller film released in 1997 by Andrew W. Marlowe. Boeing 747-146 is fictionally equipped with an escape pod, bulletproof armor, an arsenal of automatic weapons, and a full communications control room. At the time of the film's release, former President Bill Clinton says in the Washington Post that the only inaccuracy of the real Air Force One is that real AF1 does not have an escape pod. This classic movie is about a group of terrorists who hijack Air Force One and the president's attempt to rescue his people on board by retaking his plane. The film was a box office success and received mostly positive reviews. Skybound - Hawker 800 The movie centers around Lisa, played by Scarlett Byrne, who decides it's perfect to travel across the country to a guy's place for their first date. She and her date Matt (Rick Cosnett) fly from New York to California in a private plane along with a few acquaintances. Not long after takeoff, they met a mysterious man in the electrical part of the aircraft who warned that they must not land no matter what may happen. However, after Matt's brother, Kyle (Gavin Stenhouse), gets severely injured, the group wants to touch back down. Yet, they find that landing is impossible, as the entire surface of the continental US is radioactive from 11 nuclear bomb attacks that occurred after takeoff. Short on fuel, the group must find out how to land safely. Everything There is to Know Ab...by JetOnset Team | Jul 20 , 2022Air Force One is one of the obvious symbols of the presidency, spawning countless references in American culture and worldwide. Mark with the words "United States of America," the American flag, and the Seal of the President of the USA, it is an undeniable presence wherever it flies. These days, this name refers to one of two customized Boeing 747-200B series aircraft, which carry the tail codes 28000 and 29000. The Air Force designation for the aircraft is VC-25A. Theodore was the first president to use a plane for traveling. On the other hand, Franklin Roosevelt was the first president to have a military aircraft designated for his use when the Army Air Corps became concerned about the president's security on commercial flights. The name Air Force One was first used in 1953 with President Eisenhower when the aircraft transporting the president had the same call sign as an Eastern Airlines commercial flight while both used the same airspace. A Closer Look at the Presidential Plane The modified Boeing 747s used as Air Force One are as large as flying mansions. They are probably bigger than most of our houses. With 4,000 square feet of floor space, there's lots of room for a walk around the decks. Check out these amazing things you can find on board. The cockpit In front of the plane, up top in the 'hump,' You will see the cockpit. It's a standard 747 cockpit, yet there are some more bells and whistles than your typical commercial plane. In front of the cockpit, is a midair refueling prow lounge, which means Air Force One can be topped up with gas to keep it flying for as long as it needs. The crew lounge At the back of the cockpit is the crew lounge, where pilots, as well as the crew members, can rest. The flight crew mainly uses this area, and there is another lounge downstairs for other support crew on the plane. All in all, 26 crew members can work on any one flight. State-of-the-art communications center To finish off the upper deck, behind the crew lounge, is a state-of-the-art communications center. The room houses 240 miles of wiring to support the jet's 85 telephones and 20 Televisions onboard. Moreover, the comms room has all the latest radar, tracking, and defense systems. The aircraft is fully protected from electromagnetic interference from a nuclear explosion. Private quarters Below, at the very nose of the plane, you'll find the president's private quarters. This suite includes a sofa, bed, dressing room, and a bathroom with a shower. There is also a mini gym so that they can stay fit. Behind the suite is the president's office. It is the Oval Office with a large desk and room for the president to chat privately with their special guests and political advisor. Medical suite At the back of the office is a full medical suite. Here, you'll find all the equipment necessary to perform emergency first aid on board, such as a defibrillator, blood supplies, and more. It can also function as an operating room! Whenever the president flies, a qualified doctor is on board, just in case. Aircraft's kitchen Next is the galley, which is located along the corridor. Much bigger than those on a regular commercial plane, this galley accommodates a bartender, a chef, and a sous chef; between the three, they can whip up gourmet meals for about 100 people and store enough food to prepare a total of 2,000 meals. Room for senior staffers Past the galley is a smaller room for senior staff. Fairly compact, this room has comfortable business class-style seats arranged in a circle and is where the president will have their private discussions with important team members. Conference room Next up is the conference room. Eight executive leather chairs are circled on the large central table, with extra sofa seating against the walls. The room is dominated by a large television screen, which can be used to keep up with the news or to hold video conferences with people on the ground. Office staff room Behind the conference room is a place for the office staff of the president. The room, has WiFi, fax machines, phones, and TVs, letting the president do all their business wherever they are. Guest section As it gets more compact down the plane, the rooms start to resemble something we would expect on a commercial flight. Behind the office, the staff room is a guest section of the plane. This looks more like a commercial aircraft cabin, albeit a premium business category cabin. Security room Next is a security area for the president's detail to rest, as well as bathrooms for the guests and press onboard. Now, you might ask, how do they keep the plane safe? Air Force One is equipped with advanced secure communications equipment, making it possible for the jet to function as a mobile command center in the event of an attack on the United States. The plane can remain aloft for days and is prepared to withstand the electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear blast. It conducts routine training and readiness missions. At least one is kept on 24/7 readiness. Take away The US president has to fly on Air Force One because of its capabilities for defense and security. This aircraft is also bigger, faster, and can fly for longer without refueling. Although you might never know how it feels to ride on a presidential plane, you can still experience the luxury of flying private. Book a flight with us here at Jetonset, and we'll take care of your needs from the moment you get on until you reach your destination.

How Weather Affects Your Priva...by JetOnset Team | Jul 13 , 2022Just as weather can cancel or delay flights through a commercial airline, the weather can also affect travel on private aviation. Although the weather is not always an issue, different weather conditions may affect a flight and affect your plans. However, the smaller planes of the private jet charter are not affected similarly to their bigger commercial counterparts. Although there are many weather-related flight myths that people mistakenly believe, weather conditions can affect a flight. If harsh weather can affect conditions on the ground, it suffices to say that it can also affect conditions in the air. Rain, ice, snow, fog, wind, and even high temperatures or clouds can affect the performance of a plane in flight and the plane's condition. This is why weather is actively observed for flight path departures and arrivals of any flight. The main concern of all airlines and private charters is the security of their passengers. The effect of the weather on a private jet flight For people to understand the impact of the weather on private jet aviation, a distinction between IFR (Instrumental Flight Rules) and VFR (Visual Flight Rules) must be made. IFR flights can only fly with instruments. Therefore, these flights can land and take off despite zero visibility. For a VFR flight to occur, the arrival airport must be vacated to receive them. The airport must therefore have the required equipment. This necessary equipment lessens the number of airports accessible under IFR. VFR flights can fly through sight. Thus, this flight system is possible with the pilot's eyesight. Visual flights access more airports than VFR flights. In other words, flight visibility can be affected more easily on VFR flights than on IFR flights. Different Weather Conditions Thunderstorm Private jets are engineered to take off and land in weather, including rainstorms. Rain doesn't have so much effect on the ability of the flight, but those winds may cause some troubles. Strong winds can cause the crew to delay the flight or change their route if the conditions are too poor for a safe journey. A private jet can tolerate a few raindrops during the flight. Visibility is a concern, but the airflow clears any rain from the window when traveling at high speeds. Precise instruments help guide the pilots on the route during the flight and landing at the airport. Most of the time, you will not notice the rain from the cabin. There might be turbulence, but typically, pilots want to avoid flying into the heart of a heavy storm. Summer Private aircraft can operate flawlessly and safely in hot sunny weather, in very high temperatures (up to 53C, depending on the aircraft type). However, a high air temperature could change the performance of the airliner. Hot air is thinner than cooler air, affecting the output of the aircraft's engines and aerodynamic capabilities. It also increases the required runway distance and reduces climb performance and the maximum payload. Aviators can use a higher engine thrust setting when it's extremely hot. So while it's infrequently hot enough for flights to be grounded, it's something that needs to be considered in the flight plan. Of course, no matter how hot or cold it may be outside, the cabin temperature of a private jet is ideally set to the passengers' preference. Snowy weather Aircraft are incredibly designed to cope with freezing temperatures and snowfall once in the air. At 30,000 feet, temperatures normally reach as low as -80C or even -100C without any issue. So when it comes to factoring in snow, the primary focus is the condition of the runway and taxiway at the airport. And on de-icing the aircraft before the departure. De-icing is a security and legal requirement for every private jet flight. De-icing costs may add to the cost of a charter flight, which is commonly discussed with clients before a flight during colder weather. Private jets are less affected than airline flights by snowfall as they can use smaller airports, where snow clearing and de-icing can often occur faster than at major hubs. There is a considerably smaller taxiway area and fewer aircraft to keep clear. And if all flights are canceled because of heavy snow, the agility of private jet charter means flights can return to normal instantly after restrictions are lifted, while airline schedules often take days to recover. Fog Fog may be further categorized as being formed by radiative cooling processes. Fog may cover a huge, continuous area or form in patches, possibly only covering small parts of an airfield. It is termed shallow fog if the fog layer is less than 2 meters deep over land. Fog seriously affects and degrades visibility to such a degree that landing may be impossible. Only the most sophisticated aircraft like military aircraft may be able to 'auto land' under these circumstances, only at suitably equipped airports. Even allowing for the technical ability, airline and military procedures may prohibit 'auto landings' under certain situations. Ice fog has similar visibility restrictions, but untreated runways and taxiways may be coated with a thin layer of ice. Good to know information Your private jet charter is certified for landing in specific ceiling and visibility conditions. The ceiling is the distance from the ground to the lowest clouds. Visibility is the distance ahead at which an object can be seen. Airport weather is determined every few minutes, and this information is shown in the cockpit through a data link. If the airport weather measurements are lower than the plane is certified, your flight will divert to an airport with ideal weather conditions. Since modern airlines are certified to land in almost any weather, this does not happen often. Takeaway Private jet charter can manage almost any weather condition. However, in extreme cases, your flight might be delayed or canceled. However, this shouldn't worry you as it rarely happens. Here at Jetonset, we prioritize your safety while we value your time. 9 People Who Used Private Jets...by JetOnset Team | Jul 06 , 2022The partiality between the haves and the have-nots has rarely been more obvious, and a bunch of crazy private jet stories is proof of the ever-widening gap separating the super-rich from the rest of us. Common people consider airplanes a mode of travel and a convenient way to get from point A to point B. On the other hand, the wealthy consider planes - private ones, at least - their castle in the sky. To them, a private plane is just another luxury thing to be purchased, used, and gotten rid of without much hesitation. It would be frustrating if some of these stories weren't so deliciously, ridiculously pleasure-seeking. The crazy things for which people have used private jets may have, at one time, been surprising, but in a world owned by the few, these stories are common. If you have enough money to book an aircraft all to yourself, bizarre private jet requests don't seem so astonishing. A Woman Hired a fireman to be onboard for the entire flight A cake without candles wouldn't be a birthday. A rich passenger was flying to Florence, Italy, for her 50th birthday. She reportedly planned to start celebrating before the plane landed. She wanted a birthday cake with 50 candles to be presented on the plane. There was just one problem: the open flame is not allowed on planes, so she hired a fireman to be onboard for the entire flight. Ariana Grande flew her pets to Glasgow on a private plane In 2019, Ariana Grande was said to have jetted her pooches Toulouse and Myron to a Glasgow hotel on a private plane, so they could be with her during her European tour. The pop star treated them to their own room at the £2,500-a-night penthouse suite she was staying in. A source said: "She jetted the dogs out from Birmingham, and they got there three hours before she arrived."The dogs were given tartan collars to mark their time in Scotland and were looked after by a minder until Ariana turned up. Mom and Dad Sent A Plane Full Of Balloons To Their Kid Who Was Away At Camp A child's first time at a sleepaway camp can be difficult and scary. But if your parents are rich then they know what to do so you can be reminded that your family hasn't forgotten you. This was the case for one future heir when their parents booked a private plane to visit them at summer camp. But the plane didn't carry the parents. It was just a cabin full of balloons, sent in the hopes of easing the child's homesickness. A Lady Once Booked A Jet For Her Cats The flying experience can easily become overwhelming, perhaps more so if you're a pampered pet used to a lavish lifestyle. One lady once booked an entire private jet for her three cats. What's more, these cats didn't even come out of their crates for the whole period of the flight between Kansas and New York. Santa clause And His Sleigh To Take Off Just Ahead Of The Private Jet Christmas trees have become the most requested item for rich private jet passengers. In one instance, a flyer demanded a little decorated tree, complete with gifts underneath, be onboard during the flight. The request was honored, and they provided a small Christmas tree decked out with weights, so it didn't wobble during the travel. Meanwhile, a passenger ordered Christmas trees on the tarmac at takeoff and landing. And perhaps most extravagant of all, a couple arranged for real reindeer and Santa's sleigh to be taking off from the tarmac at the same time as their private jet was departing so that the children would think their plane was following Santa to the North Pole. A Private Jet Featured Live Opera Music An anonymous celebrity couple once took to the skies for no reason other than leaving the solid ground for a while. During their six-hour flight, this couple engaged in all sorts of luxury, such as performances from an opera singer they brought along for entertainment. A Frozen Turkey Flew From Dubai To Saudi Arabia A retired private jet attendant has dished on some of the wildest experiences she had during her years of serving the very rich and famous. She recounts a passenger asking for "pointed strawberries," which were definitely a challenge to procure, but her most stressful memory is the Thanksgiving flight from Dubai before which she had to somehow find a frozen turkey in the almost turkey-less city of Dubai. It had been requested to arrive in Saudi overnight, still frozen Pizza Delivery On A Private Jet It's safe to say that so long as you have the money to fork over, you can get anything you want on a private Jet. Pizza delivery, for example, is much more common on a private jet than you first might think. More than any other industry, private jet aviation is centered around customer service, designing trips specifically around the needs of the passenger. A Passenger Booked A Private Plane For Her Divorce Papers It's the ideal definition of First World Problems when overnight shipping isn't quick enough to get divorce papers to the wife or husband you can't wait to get rid of. So, you hire a private jet to serve the papers, and this happens in real life. A woman in New York hired a private jet to serve her cheating spouse in Miami with divorce papers, but first, he had to permit the plane to land on his private runway. Take away Hard-earned money improves the quality of your life. You just have to know what to spend it on. In the case of the people mentioned above, they used their money on a private jet to take care of their requests in the fastest and most efficient way. After all, it's their money, and they can use it the way they want to. Want to hire a private jet for the same reason mentioned above? or probably throw an epic romantic surprise to your partner? Jetonset Private Aircraft: Hea...by JetOnset Team | Jun 22 , 2022Large cabin jets are designed to comfortably accommodate about 8 to 12 passengers with substantial baggage space. Certain aircraft configurations can allow up to 19 passengers. Heavy jets are known for their unrivaled speed, durability range, and efficiency. JetOnset provides world-class private jet charters that will change the way you fly forever. In this article, we featured five of our heavy jet fleets that our passengers love. Hawker 4000 The Hawker 4000 was originally known as the Hawker Horizon. It is a `super mid-size' business jet. Design work on what was initially called the Horizon was already underway when Beech and Raytheon Corporate Jets merged in early 1995 to form Raytheon Aircraft. The new design, originally labeled PD376, was one of three projects the new Raytheon Aircraft was working on, along with what became the Premier I. Raytheon worked with potential customers during the design definition stage, and their input directly influenced the direction of the new aircraft. One of the design philosophies in developing the Hawker 4000 is to combine the earlier Hawkers' popular characteristics with the latest technologies. Experienced Hawker designers formed the core of Horizon's design team, and the aircraft has been designed to look and feel like a Hawker. Embraer Legacy 600 Embraer started manufacturing The Embraer Legacy 600 Large Jet in 2002 and continues to do so today. The cabin measures 42.4 feet long by 6.9 feet wide by 6.76 feet tall, giving it a total cabin volume of 1413 cubic feet. The dimensions make it comfortable for 12 passengers, with the maximum configuration seating 16. The baggage compartment can fit up to 34 bags, assuming your average piece of luggage is no more than 5 cubic feet. The Embraer Legacy 600 has a maximum range (subject to hot temperatures, headwinds, high altitude, or higher capacity) of 3916 miles and a maximum speed of 524 mph. Common names and abbreviations: Embraer Legacy 600, Legacy Jet, Embraer Jet. Gulfstream V Gulfstream Aerospace began manufacturing The Gulfstream GV Large Jet in 1998 and continues to do so today. The cabin measures 50.1 feet long by 7.3 feet wide by 6.1 feet tall, giving it a total cabin volume of 1669 cubic feet. The dimensions make it comfortable for 12 passengers, with the maximum configuration seating 16. The baggage compartment can hold up to 32 bags, assuming your average piece of luggage is less than 5 cubic feet. The Gulfstream G.V. has a maximum range (subject to headwinds, high altitude, hot temperatures, or higher capacity) of 7389 miles and a maximum speed of 585 mph. Common names and abbreviations: G-V, G.V., G5, Gulfstream 5. It is used for military and government transportation by Japan (Japan Coast Guard), Israel (Israeli Ministry of Defense), Algeria (Algerian Air Force), Kuwait (Transport for the royal family), Greece (Hellenic Air Force), Saudi Arabia, UAE, United States (United States Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and Federal Aviation Administration) Global 6000 The Global 6000 entered service in 2012 and is a descendant of the Bombardier's highly successful Global Express. The 6000 competes in the large, long-range business jet segment against the likes of the Gulfstream G650ER and the Dassault Falcon 8X. The Global 6000 lives a hyper-competitive segment of the market that caters to needs of individuals and businesses that need to fly halfway around the world at a moment's notice. The Global 6000 was the centerpiece of Bombardier's showcase at the recently concluded 2018 Farnborough International Airshow. The big jet was parked alongside a Delta Air Lines CRJ900 regional airliner made by Bombardier's commercial aircraft division. Falcon 7X From its inception, the Falcon 7X was destined to be a revolutionary aircraft, introducing business aviation to the industry’s first Digital Flight Control System. Like so many other aspects of the aircraft, its DFCS drew on Dassault’s 30 years of military experience, especially its Rafale and Mirage 2000 programs. The 7X would become the first business jet to use fighter jet technology with an elegant, whisper-quiet executive cabin. Today, over 270 Falcon 7X aircraft are in service in 41 countries. The fleet has performed some 550,000 flight hours and presents excellent dispatch reliability. And a growing number of operators worldwide are discovering they need not compromise small-jet agility and efficiency for long-range comfort and capability. Now a mature and proven aircraft platform, the Falcon 7X1 is still the most advanced — still the business jet benchmark for the 21st century When it comes to landing, slower is safer. A usual landing weight, the approach speed of the 7X is only 104 knots (193 km/h). It can land and stop in just 2,070 feet (630 m). As a result, it can access hundreds of airports other jets cannot, including those with hot and high conditions, steep approaches, and stringent noise restrictions. The 7X is the only aircraft in its class able to reach New York from London City Airport. The Importance of Private Jet ...by JetOnset Team | Jun 17 , 2022Putting someone on board a jet ambulance is a big decision that must be made carefully. If someone needs to be transported via air ambulance, it means the patient's health condition is already compromised. If possible, ensure that the trip will not affect any serious illness of the patient. An Air ambulance is a customized aircraft that transports injured or sick people. It is created for those who require medical assistance when a road ambulance cannot reach them. When needing emergency medical assistance over a distance, in that situation Air ambulance services are helpful to get reach over there in a short time. Time, distance & the patient's health condition are all major factors considered in the air medical services. Save Lives Private jet ambulance charters are always ready to pick up patients and the wounded when they are called in. They deal with all kinds of patients irrespective of their injuries or disease. The process of airlifting the patient takes less time, meaning fewer patients have complications on the way, and they are better able to get to a care facility faster. Most of the air ambulances in service today also have qualified staff aboard who can assist during the flight, although since the time is shorter, there is less to do between the pickup and arrival at a hospital. Air ambulances can also transport doctors and other medical staff to areas affected by natural disasters that have been used before for earthquakes and floods. Injured parties can be immediately treated by the doctors (who fly in) and then transferred to major hospitals for specialized treatment. Air ambulance services can also benefit hospitals in disaster-prone areas. The ambulances transport drugs and other medical supplies to those areas. They have been used in less life-threatening but still critical care. You may often see them used when there are major injuries during sporting events or when skiers and snowboarders get caught off-trail and can't get back to the lodge. Comfort and privacy Most patients prefer to maintain their privacy when sick, which commercial airline flights offer. Private medical flights provide the patient with privacy and comfort to fly for treatment, as well as the option to be accompanied by family or friends on board the plane. When transporting a patient, the time taken is a matter of life and death. Speed is a factor to consider, from organizing the means of transport for the patient to the time it takes to take the patient to the hospital. At Medical Air Service, we understand the importance of speed in such situations. Availability The first and major benefit of the air ambulance is it can operate everywhere, irrespective of the location. Many people think that air ambulances cannot operate in places where road conditions are extremely bad. But it is not true. However, traffic congestion and road conditions are why many of us prefer jet ambulances. Not just that, but it can also travel to any city at any time and reach the destination within the expected timeframe. You don't have to face delays like a normal road ambulance service. Every air ambulance aims to transport the patients to the hospital on time. Spacious The next benefit of the air ambulance is that it has a higher capacity than regular charter flights. They are large and can travel a longer distance in a shorter time. This is because a lot of medical equipment is needed in the air ambulance before taking a critical patient. This is what makes air ambulances different from normal flight charters. Furthermore, The size of the jet makes it possible for multiple rescues. Two Things to Consider Before Hiring a jet Ambulance Pick the right-sized Aircraft. Choosing an air ambulance depends on its specifications. It also depends on what will be the best use for the patient's condition, and it's either helicopter or jetliner. Also, check how many passengers the patient will accompany, including medical staff and flight crew. Check also what medical equipment and supplies must be carried with the patient. These are the most issues that will help you determine what the patient needs while traveling for safety and comfort. Safety Many people think that just because a company offers air ambulance service, it has a solid track record for safety. This is not a safe assumption. A few regulatory requirements exist for an air ambulance company, meaning that just about anyone can hang a sign and open the doors for business. Using the Internet to check an air ambulance company's safety record is not hard. Never book a flight without first checking into the history of the air ambulance company. Book your flight with us An air ambulance plane is a comfortable and safe way of transporting patients who are too ill to travel long distances by ground. 5 Benefits of Traveling in Emp...by JetOnset Team | Jun 08 , 2022Empty Leg is a term that most aviation companies use to identify a flight that does not carry any cargo or passengers. The definition of charter flights refers to returning flights from their chartered destinations. It is also known as a one-way flight. If you don't have a busy schedule, you can enjoy the fun of a private flight. If you have corporate events, upcoming meetings, or just traveling for a holiday, you should consider an empty leg flight a great way to enjoy your flight and a safe and productive way of traveling. Empty leg flying offers some differences compared to commercial flights and standard charter. Compared to a standard chartered trip, empty leg flights normally come at a lower cost, letting you get the personalized experience of flying privately at a discount. Many passengers use ferry flights for business trips and vacations. It's necessary to know these empty leg flights only go one way, so you'll have to book another flight if you need to return. Reasons to travel in Empty Leg Flights. Unlike commercial flights, empty leg flights provide passengers a more luxurious and private experience that often can't be guaranteed on a standard flight. By choosing empty leg charter flights, you can travel with a smaller selection of passengers or as a single party, avoiding the cramped conditions of commercial flights. These flights also often come with extra services to make the flight cozier and deliver an unforgettable experience. Many flyers keep an eye out for empty leg flights as they allow them to skip long lines, increase privacy, enjoy greater flexibility, and garner savings. Here are some of the top advantages of empty leg flights: Budget-friendly Having flexible plans can mean that you can obtain an empty leg flight at a significantly reduced airfare compared to what it would cost to charter a regular private jet. Prices can be as much as 25 percent cheaper or more depending on the amount of notice and flight details. You can still enjoy the pleasure and luxury that a private jet flight provides for a fraction of the cost. If you have never considered private jet flying an option, possibly because of budget, why not start with an empty leg flight and see what luxury others are getting for their money? Regarding flexibility and arranging the flight at short notice, consider booking a last-minute cancellation on holiday, which might even benefit you. Not just because of its reduced cost but because it makes you try something that you would not otherwise have experienced. The cost differences are worth considering when all that is lost is flexibility. Saves time Empty leg flights are almost similar to express flights. They won't stop at any place before your destination unless they need to refuel or reload water which does not happen so often. That means you can reach your destination with less travel time than a normal flight. Reduce waste An aircraft flying back empty represent the worse thing for the environment. The flight was wasted because no one was on the plane except the pilot. The answer to this for the air industry is to make sure that every flight is booked to capacity. Small private jets are used for small groups of people, and empty return flights are avoided. By booking on an empty leg flight, you are booking on a flight that would have taken place anyway. Repositioning these flights makes sense as we all try and lessen our carbon footprints. Global warming is not going away and will affect future generations, so this is one way that we can all do our share for the environment. Skip Crowded Flights When you book an empty leg flight, especially in a busy tourist season, you will not experience what most flyers or travelers hate. Fly solo (unless you are in a group flight) In empty leg flights, you will not experience any annoying person talking loud or any passengers that will disturb you. What to Know Before You Book an Empty Leg Flight Before you book an empty leg flight, you might want to consider some of the steps that go into this process. Empty leg flights are likely to be available last minute, so you won't be able to plan out flights far in advance. Since these flights are only available on short notice, you should check for them regularly if you plan to fly soon. Similar to the last-minute nature of these flights, their routes tend to be unpredictable. You can't choose the destination, so the routes are up to the private jet's needs. You may have to be more flexible with where you're willing to travel or wait longer to find a flight that fits your travel needs. If you fly on an empty leg flight, you must also consider that you'll need to find an alternative way home. Furthermore, these flights can be canceled or have last-minute changes for some reason. If the aircraft ends up needing repair or routing is changed, a potential passenger may not be able to book the flight anymore, or the departure date may be subject to change. Take away Flying privately offers many benefits. It is comfier, safer, faster, and often puts you closer to your final destination. Empty-leg private flights take it further by offering a cheaper way to fly private. Empty legs are flights that are scheduled without any passengers. This usually happens when an aircraft returns to its home base or needs to be repositioned for another flight. As a result, the departure time, aircraft type, and destination will already be pre-established. They are sometimes known as repositioning flights or dead-heads Book an Empty Leg Flight with Jetonset Empty leg flights offer the possibility of enjoying all the perks of private jet travel at a fraction of the cost. With a direct flight at their disposal, fliers can have the privilege of reaching remote holiday destinations without the exhaustion and hassles of commercial flights. Curious where these private jet flyers fly off for their vacations? Well, these destinations are wonderful and magical for sure. Let's give you a sneak peek into the top places that have been documented to attract most tourists reaching by private jets. Norman's Cay, The Bahamas Formerly owned by the Medellin Cartel, Norman's Cay is now a property of a super-exclusive resort, Four Seasons Hotel. It's so exclusive that you can only approach it by yacht or private jet. As you'd expect, there are stunning views, a great environment, and plenty more. You can even do some treasure hunting and maybe run into some hidden stashes of money. Lanai, Hawaii. There are several cool facts about Lanai. Once known as the "Pineapple Island" because it was home to a plantation that produced 75% of the world's pineapples, it is also majority-owned by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. One of the lesser-known Hawaiian islands, the exclusive resort is favored by the likes of the fantastic four actress Jessica Alba and Cindy Crawford — who we imagine nearly certainly arrive through the private jet. Paro, Kingdom of Bhutan The airport in Paro is one of the most dangerous in the world. It's located 2,225 meters above sea level and surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. If you're looking to experience an amazing flight and one-of-a-kind views of the Himalayas, this is your spot. Tiwi Islands, Australia The greatest part of vacationing is exploring the local culture, and the Tiwi Islands in Australia are the perfect opportunity to learn about their thriving indigenous culture. You can reach the Tiwi Islands by passing into the adjacent island of Darwin. From there, go on cultural and wildlife tours while taking in dazzling sunsets that come in second to the lovely Tiwi artwork that graces most corners of the island, from galleries to churches to fishing lodges. Laucala Island, Fiji One of the triplets of small islands in Fiji, Laucala is a privately owned island and an exclusive resort. There are 25 villas on the island, each built as a classy version of a traditional Fijian dwelling. The resort is found on the island's north coast and covers 4.5 sq km of the 14 sq km landmass — the rest of Laucala is an unspoiled wilderness, home to some of Fiji's rarest birds and animals. Laucala Island has its airport; guests can choose to get there by being transferred from Nadi International Airport to the resort's King Air B200. But, to arrive in true style, private aircraft are also permitted to land, as long as the jet has a maximum of 88,000 lbs which is the maximum take-off weight. World Top Leaders and their Lu...by JetOnset Team | May 25 , 2022Power, image, and perception are very crucial for leaders of countries. So do comfort and luxury. These are the perks of being a country leader. For instance, you could maintain aircraft fleets and private jets as you wish. It's no surprise that the world's top leaders travel in style. The world is now filled with presidential aircraft, techs, and specifications. Have you ever wondered about the sort of jets powerful heads of state fly with? Read on and explore some of the brilliant private jets of the world's powerful leaders. Vladimir Puttin - Russia Russian President Vladimir Putin has the biggest fleet, with 132 aircraft. His primary transport is The Russian-made Ilyushin IL-96-300. The plane is painted with a special coating that makes it less detectable to radar on the outside. It also has radar jammers and anti-aircraft defenses. There are tapestries, lots of gold, an office, a bedroom, and a full gym for the President on the inside. It's valued at half a billion dollars. Russian leaders also travel by the Doomsday plane, known as The Flying Kremlin. It is an Ilyushin Il-80 plane, a modified version of the Il-86 passenger and cargo plane. The aircraft is designed specifically to protect Russian leaders at all costs from a worst-case scenario. Despite its size, this jet plane does not have any windows - except the cockpit - to ensure full protection through trying atmospheric and weather conditions - or a possible nuclear blast. The aircraft is practically an airborne command post with special communications equipment placed within a dome on its fuselage that reportedly prevents exposure to electromagnetic pulse attacks. In the case of a nuclear exchange, Russia would use the aircraft to ensure a continued chain of command and communication, for retaliatory attacks, or to move troops on the ground. Angela Merkel's - Germany German Chancellor Angela Merkel flies through an Airbus A340-313X VIP, also known as the Konrad Adenauer, after the first postwar Chancellor of Germany. Markel has several other planes at her disposal, managed by Germany's Armed forces. She has a huge fleet available to her. A Eurocopter AS532 is used for flights around Germany and other nearby countries or for longer flights. Angela has access to four business jets, including two Airbus A319-133X CJs, each costing more than £115 million ($120M+), and a Bombardier Global 5000 cost around £55 million ($57M+) Merkel's fleet is also equipped with security features like missile defense systems, plus additional fuel tanks, which made it possible to fly up to 13,500 kilometers — enough to get from Berlin to Washington. Donald Trump - USA Air Force One is a US Air Force aircraft carrying the President of the United States. Unlike Putin, Trump relies basically on two identical customized aircraft. These are heavily modified Boeing 747-200B models and are referred to within the government by their military designation, VC-25A. If an airport cannot accommodate the VC-25A due to its landing strip capacity, a more compact Boeing C-32 must be used. The presidential air fleet is positioned under the administration of the 89th airlift wing, located at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Similar to Russia's IL-96-300PU, the extensive modification of the two Boeing 747-200Bs was designed for the US president. The VC-25A has better fuel economy and an increased flight range over the original model. Alterations allowing refueling of the airliner during flight theoretically allow the aircraft to remain in the sky for an indefinite period Trump's VC-25A serves as a chief government management center during prolonged flights. Air Force One has several secure communication channels, including satellite. The aircraft's security systems are prepared to protect from standard attacks and any unusual occurrences such as targeted electromagnetic impulses. The VC-25A is also equipped with a medical suite that acts as a fully functional operating room. Andrés Manuel López Obrador - Mexico If you're a Mexican native, you may not be pleased with former President Enrique Pena Nieto splashing out on the world's most expensive Jet, but if you're an aviation enthusiast, it is merely a thing of beauty. Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner can accomodate 250 passengers and fly 10,000 miles continuously without refueling. It can make the trip from Los Angeles to Tokyo without stopping. The total costs are rumored to be anything from whooping $218 million to $600 million. The interiors are effortlessly classy. A U-shaped sofa and several desks in the primary lounge make it easy to rest and relax in style. The Mexican residents met the arrival of the Dreamliner with plenty of negativity and began a petition to stop its arrival. In December 2018, President Enrique Pena Nieto's successor announced his plan to sell the Dreamliner. The profits are said to be injected back into the Mexican economy. Kassem-Jomart Tokayev - Kazakhstan The President of Kazakhstan has access to a full fleet of aircraft rumored to cost more than $250 million. It includes a range of jets and a Mi-8 helicopter, typically used for shorter trips. Despite the presidential fleet being that large, a select few aircraft are repeatedly chosen for the most important occasions. These are Airbus A321-211 CJ, Airbus A320-214 CJ Prestige, Airbus A330-243 Prestige Of these huge planes, the Airbus A330-243 Prestige is the father. It's reserved for occasions like the G20, a summit where the world's most influential leaders meet to discuss topics of major political issues and concerns. It's been used for official visits to China, the US, and Russia. For instance, the aircraft landed at Vnukovo-2 airport in April 2019 for an official visit to Russia. Take away World leaders travel on a private jet for convenience and security reasons.
